I was at this party when two friends introduced me to a friend of theirs. "And this is Michael Radbourne.." This person gave me a strange look, as if I wasn't really mentally fit to be in a room with her, and walked off. I never saw her again. My friends explained that when they had said something funny, or strange, or both, in front of her, they told her it was a Radbournism, the sort of thing I would have said in that situation. They then laughed amongst themselves.

A Radbournism is therefore:-

  1. Something funny you said which someone else would have said had they been there (humour by proxy), or;
  2. A good excuse for laughing amongst yourself, or;
  3. Something which shows you are a bit eccentric, or insane
